Recent poll shows that 82% prefers no www. in URL

In a recent poll on, Digging into WordPress, results were unanimous when it came to preference between “www.” or no “www.” in URLs.  Out of 434 votes 356 voted in favor of loosing the dubs.  That’s 82% for those of you who are counting.

This debate has been going on for years and there is not right or wrong answer.  However, one this is very important.  Canonicalization.

It may be a crazy sounding word but it’s worth remembering. Read more about canonicalization in my post titled “What is Canonicalization and How Does Affect My Website?
