“I hired James to help me with some web design work a few years ago. Since then James has become my only web designer and has helped me with several different sites. He stays on top of things and makes suggestions about how to improve traffic etc. and keep the sites looking fresh. I highly recommend James. He does what I need- he provides SERVICE and he keeps up with things. I need that because I am busy with business.”

— David Meier

“I recommend James for many reasons, but the main ones are that he does good work and a good price and does it quickly. Those three things are what I look for when choosing a business partner. If this is not enough, James also does the same with any updates or changes that I have requested. You can’t go wrong with working with James on your next project.”

- Mike Hoseus President Life Learning Ministries, Author, Toyota Culture

“James has worked with our group for the past few years and assisted us in designing our website. He does great work and is very personable, he always seems to have customer satisfaction in mind while working on our requests. He is always there when we need changes done quickly, and one you would want on your team for sure. I would recommend James to any company, group or individual looking for his expertise.”

Helped lead the move to centralized, template driven, Web site maintained by the Webteam. Trained students how to use college template and guidelines.

To Whom It May Concern:

This letter is my personal recommendation for James McWhorter. I was Jim’s immediate supervisor for three years. I found him to be consistently pleasant and personable, tackling all assignments with dedication and a smile. Jim is a natural leader who takes charge of a problem and went above and beyond to serve the college as well as my team. Although he had some difficulty at first, he learned quickly and adapted to managing fellow students effectively. He was often the student face out in the field negotiating one-on-one with departments as we converted our Web site. He is a go-getter with a drive to learn new concepts. During his tenure, he began learning CSS, PHP, and Web hosting practices while starting his own freelance business.

Jim is a person who you can count on. He has successfully managed Web site conversions and creations from start to finish. Though he was a great asset to the team as a project manager and supervisor, Jim was also extraordinarily helpful in other areas. In addition to taking fantastic photos for the Web site, Jim trained students and honed his Photoshop skills as well as coaching others about how to effectively and holistically look at Web design and development. I highly recommend Jim for employment. He is a team player and would make a great asset to any organization.

Sincerely,

-Cary Hazelwood, Web Site Coordinator, Berea College
